New payment option for prescription drugs

The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan allows you to spread the amount you pay for your covered prescription drugs across the calendar year. This option is offered by all plans, is completely voluntary, and comes at no extra cost.

While this payment option can help you manage your monthly expenses, it won’t save you money or lower your drugs costs. If you’re seeking financial assistance, consider checking to see if you qualify for Extra Help to help pay for your medications. The eligibility requirements for Extra Help were recently expanded, so you may qualify even if you haven’t in the past.
